How do you describe your own art practice?
My work is engaged with the pressing and urgent reassessment of a contemporary understanding of image production and image distribution, through a multidisciplinary practice which involves C-types, video, sculpture and installation. I’m not a digital native and it’s a fact that we are living in a technology-mediated everyday life scenario; my practice as myself is placed in between these two world the Virtual and the Actual.

Which question or theme is central in your work?
As Werner Herzog said: “We are surrounded by worn-out images, and we deserve new ones”.

What was your first experience with art?
I’ve studied art since high school and once, around 2003 in Florence, I saw a show which was really different from the rest, it was “The Fourth Sex” curated by Francesco Bonami and Raf Simons.

What is your greatest source of inspiration?
I use the endless flux of visual information – found in the paraphernalia of our consumer culture – as a starting point, subverting, manipulating and representing in order to refresh our act of looking. The point is to question, how images and content are constructed and how we relate to the media as well as how we perceive the world.

What do you need in order to create your work?
A quiet space, my MacBook, my notebook, lots of sketches and a good glass of white wine.
