How do you describe your own art practice?
My practice delves into the interplay between ritual and escapism. Exploring the semantic polysemy, informational intoxication, and the universal longing for an out-of-body experience, I am interested in how the mythological merges with the technological. Driven by the sacral idea of the human mind incorporation into a global network, my practice is equipped with decentralization intentions. In my works, I often refer to the concept of a parallel world, an alternative dimension of non-linearity and freedom.

Which question or theme is central in your work?
Reviewing the notions of linear and circular time, I used to juxtapose an archaic world view with a futuristic perspective. Rethinking the symbiotic relationship between the human psyche and the natural world, I aim to upscale the idea of spiritual ecology, seeing the forest as an idiosyncratic shelter for magical and dissident forces.

What was your first experience with art?
It all began with musical entropy. As a teenager, I co-founded a band that slowly gravitated towards conceptualism. The repetitive nature of music formed my interest in such constructs as trans and ritual. Distortion, modulation, and polyphony still play a vital role in my practice.

What is your greatest source of inspiration?
Since experimentation is essential to me, inspiration sources vary. Lately, the idea of a self-centred world and Interspecies relations within various nature religions are attracting me the most.

What do you need in order to create your work?
I used to say that my projects are powered by scientific research and spiritual search. Usually, the initial stage of a project has a form of a virtual tapestry that is later embodied in various mediums such as video, sculpture, or installation to construct mental landscapes illuminated by ethnoreligious beliefs.

What work or artist has most recently surprised you?
There are many interdisciplinary creators with synesthetic profiles whose works I’m excited about. Especially now, when AI occupies the digital realm and matter is re-evaluating. More specifically, I adore practices that levitate somewhere in between Zeitgeist and Umwelt, rethinking our coexistence within the ecosystem.
