Due to the wonderful power of our imagination we can give a new color to memories that sometimes dare to fade. With carefully chosen shadows, we are able to give back depth to those mental images that became blurry.

Writers Maud Vanhauwaert and Elske van Lonkhuyzen asked people to send in a photo of a deceased grandparent. Artist Mila Van Goethem converted those photos into coloring pictures. Vanhauwaert and Van Lonkhuyzen wrote down the corresponding stories.

It resulted in a large coloring book, an exhibition, and a series of lectures.
